It’s wild to think that the United States exists because the French really liked hats.
They’ve stepped up the CGI this season but the practical stuff (sets, uniforms, Isaac) all still look pretty bad. Which was fine when it was a comedy, but now that it’s trying harder to be a serious sci fi drama/action show, it feels light years behind modern Trek (or even 90's era Trek).
I don’t know, I really liked the first two seasons but I feel like they over-corrected away from the humor into just another Star Trek clone with worse production values (and worse acting). This season’s been a real slog for me.
Better Call Saul is the exception that proves the rule: compelling dramatic stakes are very difficult when the ending is already known.

I live in Grand Rapids, MI which has been one of the hottest real estate markets in the country for a while now. After escrow, my mortgage payment on a 1600 sq ft 3 bed/1.5 bath in a pretty good neighborhood is about $1400.

I read some early reviews (first 5 episodes were screened for critics IIRC) that they deal with and resolve his angst thing in the first few episodes. I’m hoping that’s the case but even so, I think they’re definitely handling it better than Disco or Picard would.
You should give Strange New Worlds a shot. It’s the most Star Trek-like of the P+ Trek.
But what exactly does that “spoil”? I feel like the definition of “spoiler” is getting way too broad.
