I’d say... yes and no. I think Twitter is heavily referenced in the news media because it allows journalists to sit on their butt while hot takes come to them instead of chasing down stories and quotes the hard way. It’s definitely omnipresent as a source for news stories, especially online.

Totally agree that people should not share photos of their vaccine cards on social media but mostly because fuck them for bragging. Go ahead and tell your friends and family but don’t throw it in the face of other people who really need the vaccine and haven’t been able to get it yet.

I was offered the vaccine through work and you’re damn right I accepted, for the exact reasons you stated. I can’t control who it goes to if I decline. And the vaccine is only effective when mostly everybody gets it. Might as well get it out of the way early if I can.

implies objective truths where there are none

I can believe it. I don’t know why enablers keep giving this guy multiple second chances. Hollywood should walk away from him. He’s a garbage human. It would be no big loss. Just find a different white dude to read your scripted lines and act out your scenes — one that is not a serial abuser.

YESSSSSSS! Thank you! I can’t believe I forgot to add that one to the list! Omg, it’s just SOOOO good! And when Keith Brymer Jones gets all teary eyed, I swear I lose it every single time!!! I actually like it more than GBBO because of that heartfelt dynamic. Plus, the sheer creativity on display is amazing!

So, there’s a an article with Sohla on Vulture where she kinda goes off and kinda explain what the deal was with Brad and Morocco and holy shit. Here’s the relevant part:

No, he does not.

No, he does not. However, in a case like this, he’d have been better off saying nothing, if he could think of nothing nice to say.

I’m all for dragging Conde Nasty through the mud, but it’s not like Andy wasn’t fucked over as a POC by the company for years now. He only got a contract for video at the beginning of the year when his series about learning about ethnic cuisine began, only for that to die off with the pandemic. I imagine his position

Andy is Iranian-American which most definitely qualifies as POC.

Yeah, if true (which it seems to be), it’s pretty disappointing. It seems like they were in pretty secure positions to make a supportive statement without jeopardizing their jobs. And I’m guessing they were **PAID**, so I guess I get it, but just wholesale and resignations in the Test Kitchen would’ve been an amazing

All three of them did according to this article

Claire needs her own TV show. I also just don't care about BA anymore. The damage is already done and they screwed up a big opportunity.

It’s nice to see Marcus Samuelsson back in front of the camera. Always liked it when he was on Iron Chef back in the day.

I wonder how much they paid Brad to get him back? It must be *a lot* right? He’s the only big name to come back, they must have backed a dump truck full of cash up to his house. Chris and Andy were never anywhere near as popular as he was (maybe Chris was getting there but not Andy).

You can literally play it right now with a PS Now sub on pretty much any device except iOS.

This might be completely unimportant but is the black actor from Saving Private Ryan shes talking about supposed to be Vin Diesel?

Depends which parts of the US they film it in a guess.
