I’m also pretty lukewarm on the show. Don’t hate it like a lot of the internet seems to (at least the louder parts of the internet) but I’m often frustrated by the choices the show makes. This was the first “good” episode in a long time.

Gizmodo is the gadget and product site. io9 is the sub-site devoted to science fiction.
Go look at the front page of io9 right now and tell me how many articles are about sci fi.
They recap it every week. Seems reasonable for a science fiction-focused website.
Definitely one of the better Disco episodes, bit of a twist on the season 7 Voyager episode Shattered where different parts of the ship are in different timeframes.
I miss getting to know these characters and what they do in their off time. The plays and recitals and holonovels and stuff. Current Trek is doesn’t have enough time to breathe.
I don’t see anything in this article indicating that this next season will be its last.
Raynor shouting “70% for the win!” was the cringiest dialogue to date in Star Trek, so thanks for that.
Give me an electric Volvo 1990 240.
Too bad they used AI generated images for the on screen title cards instead of just paying an artist to make them.
Yeah like rolling the window down and escaping. But she was apparently pretty drunk and obviously not thinking straight.
I don’t disagree. Everyone seems to love SNW and I generally enjoy it but the dialogue is too quippy/modern in a way that’s going to feel really dated in a few years. Lower Decks is great though and Season 3 of Picard is maybe the best Trek we’ve had since the Berman/Braga era.
Gene would’ve hated DS9. I think it’s among the best of all Star Trek.

Because there needs to be an indictment and a trial?
Yikes.
I had a ton of these as well, stopped collecting around the First Contact figures. Had the Bridge playset, the Transporter, and Engineering.
Discovery Will Be the First Star Trek Show in 50 Years to End Without a Jonathan Frakes Appearance
It could still be picked up for another season by Netflix.
