For some reason, I am now convinced this woman has an X for an anus.

That's actually what is written on the ISIS flag…

THAT IS A GROTESQUE STEREOTYPE. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED AT LUMPING SOMEONE INTO A MONOLITHIC BLOCK SIMPLY BECAUSE OF DIETARY CLUES.

Alternately: "The youngs"

My diet growing up was 90% hamburger helper, pastas with cream sauce, Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup and shit like Jello with cottage cheese AND cream cheese mixed in.

Ugh. Could you BE any more agreeable?

…and I am sure your friends dont like YOU.

"In the meantime, maybe just find a reliable website for recommendations?"

Meh. Film criticism is like this: You read a critic for a while, you get the feel for the sort of things they like or do not like, so regardless of what they actually say, you derive a metric for whether you might enjoy a film enough to go see it.

Belly Button, you ignorant slut.

Was the power out?

I saw Blur in 97 at the palladium here in hollywood. Not exactly early on in a club, but still at the height of their powers in a 2500 capacity place. (No seats)

A variety of things. They were either always playing somewhere I happened to be going anyway for some other reason, or when I was working (I saw them 3 times at the Roxy when I was working side-door security. As a teenager, and another couple times when they were playing with other bands I was working for or friends

Yeah, but they were better before that. Freddie was shying away from some vocal notes, and In '79, there was no Radio Ga Ga, for instance, whereas he was already every bit the frontman he was at live aid.

Oh. I take it you missed Fatboys?

You'd want to see them with Mattlock…that legendary 1976 Manchester gig, for instance.

I have some old-school punk friends who drove up to that Sex Pistols show in SF and said it was terrible, not even worth going to as an EVENT. In contrast, these are people who went on to bands like the Bags, Germs, Weirdos and saw all of the classic British punk bands in clubs…so they knew what a good poonk show was.

I saw a lot of old school rap live, and it…wasn't great.

Did they do that?

I'm a Quadraphenia guy, so I'd pick '73 before they jettisoned the Quadraphenia set (they had problems because it had tapes for all the strings, horns and sound effects live).
