This film is so up my alley I’m tingling.

Omg this looks and sounds gorgeous! Will watch.

Loved this movie! One particular scene (if you’ve seen the film you can probably guess the one) caused someone in my cinema to pass out, poor guy. Epic.

Right?! Trump supporters just don’t want people they perceive as “other” to have a voice. They don’t seem to understand that it’s not a zero sum game. One group can have all the rights, respect and safety they deserve and another group can also have that.

I love how a group, whose members comprise the demo with the most ceo’s/political leaders/ box office stars, feels that they’re not being heard. Like that black man on cbs late night talk show, the Latino female on the abc one, and the Asian person on nbc keep their voices from being heard.

Yeah, I’ve never gotten this ‘argument’.

99.9% of me desperately wants Trump to lose because I want to live in the future one day but that last tenth of a percent wouldn’t mind seeing Trump win just to watch these idiots find out that Trump doesn’t give one quarter of a flying fuck about them or their voice.

For a silent majority, they never shut the fuck up....

Shot. The man said shot. He wants her to die. And I will bet you $20 that if you ask him exactly why she deserves to be shot he won’t even know. That’s the infuriating part. They have no idea what crime to even accuse her of.

“The system is rigged only if I don’t win.”

Been happened. You obviously know no hoteps. Get your life.

That word doesnt exist anywhere but here.

You don’t get to decide.

Thought that gymnast dude was Dan Ahdoot form Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ and got more excited than I should have been.

i’ll admit, every month i pop my head in here, hoping to find me, and every month i’m disappointed.

...and people have sought to discover the true identities of people with those pseudonyms for centuries. Understanding the heritage/upbringing of an artist is often a large part (as HamNo points out) of later criticism/theory/study of the work of that person.

For one, we learned that Ferrante’s collection of “autobiographical” essays coming out next month should be labeled as fiction, at least partially.

The biographical information about an author helps those seeking deep examinations of that author’s work, since what individuals produce - whether written, musical, visual, etc. - is inevitably shaped by individual circumstance. Knowing the identity of one who creates isn’t just a trivial factoid of barely-relevant

And I hate cults so it’s a major rage trigger for me. I didn’t even realize how much I hate cults until I watched this and The Following. But put me in a room with Patti Levin and a crowbar and she’s never coming out. (I know, I know... .)
