You know where this list needs to go?

I’m gonna call it now: A bunch of unfunny internet hack commenters making “Cars and Coffee” references that were already tired 8 years ago but unoriginal people keep repeating.

No one will be rolling in those blackouts...

I’ll assume that’s sarcasm. The same “best car features/upgrades” question gets asked every other day, to which someone inevitably responds: Fuel Shark. Never gets old. Never.

I have said this forever.  Doubly so with something like this.  This is 100% a WANT car, not a NEED car.

I’ve been saying this for years about most things.  Oh, you’re tired of high price sports tickets, don’t go.  Tired dealer mark-ups, don’t pay.  You don’t “need” a Z06 or tickets to watch millionaire athletes play for billionaire owners, all while fleecing you for a $5.00 coke.  Good lord.

Yeah, if they auction the allocation, it’s not them setting the price.

Exactly. The interior is way more similar than I expected (which is going to make it the best Dodge interior in forever (when the electronics work)) but those “small” differences in the dash and vents are millions of dollars and years in tooling.

It also straight up sounds like Alfa Romeo thinks they are Ferrari and Maserati just because the old FCA CEO wanted them to get some exclusives...... exclusives the old CEO said was supposed to get Dodge versions of because he knew damn well Alfa Romeo was never gonna fully support the billions they were getting to

The bucket of bolts sound didn't start until duke bent a pushrod or three.

If you lose the exhaust manifold on one of these, or even crack the tailpipe, the car to which this hateful thing is attached becomes intolerable to drive.

This. Now stick that turd in a Caravan utility package, add a huge roof rack full of ladders and conduit, and load 750lbs of electrician crap in the back. The language I screamed at that Satan-Spawned abomination would peel paint. And it did that too.

OMG... I had one of those in my old ‘76 Monza. I called it the IRON DOOKY! Burned so much oil I gave up changing it, and added a new quart every month.  And it backfired after you turned it off!  Absolute rattle box of engineering shame from GM!

Agreed - I have zero desire for one of these ridiculous barges, but I still think this is NP for someone who does. Anything classic in decent shape, running, for <$10K is NP these days. That’s practically couch cushion money.

So what's wrong with 19th century agricultural equipment?

Can we give an honorable mention to the slant 6? I always thought they sounded like crap and could never understand why people were like “inline sixes are so smoooooooth” when the only I6 I ever had heard was the leaning tower of power*.

Bingo.

there is absolutely no safety justification for the regulation changes to raise the floor edges and diffuser throats.   that is purely the “mercedes is sucking under the current rules, and we work for them” change.

the only thing they needed to do for porpoising was the sensor and the authority to direct the teams to

thought someone was playing the intro to Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher”
