It’s sad what GM did to this engine. The internal GM engineers were bitter that this engine design was outsourced, so they worked REALLY hard to hamper it internally.

GR86. The idea that a new grad with their first adult job can go out and buy a 7500 RPM, RWD, manual transmission sports car for under $30k in 2024 is awesome.
GR86, even with no discount. 7500 RPM RWD sports car for under $30k? Sign me up!
Cobra R. Such an extreme, and rare, car.
OG Insight is a really good one. Such an innovative, and ahead of its time, car. You could make an argument it’s the most extreme “green” vehicle ever released for mass production.
Gas turbines are, by their thermodynamic definition, Internal Combustion Engines.
Despite the fact that all of us see these every day in various states of disrepair, this will probably go down as one of the most important vehicles ever made.
BEVs aren’t a closed system, the electricity comes from somewhere. For most people, it comes from burning ICEs (gas turbines) or burning coal.
Cobalt? You act like these things are made of solid lithium.
Except....a sub 500 hp ICE car from the same company, with the same number of seats, can beat this around a track.
Name checks out!
Argument for BEVs: SAVE THE PLANET!
First of all, it’s EXTREMELY difficult to make one of these cars reliable. All of the teams should be congratulated on achieving reliability.
I think the “V6 was crap and it wasn’t fast enough” take is dumb, particularly for the update car. The update cars are as fast as contemporary Mustang GT, and not much slower than a Corvette. Think about what that would look like today.
OMG, Paw Patrol is real!
It can be ugly and age into an abomination, which it has.
It’s aged terribly. Somehow it looks even more ridiculous now than it did when it was launched, which doesn’t seem possible.
I think we’re going to have to respectfully disagree. I’d put the H2 in the top-5 worst looking vehicles ever made, of any type.
Can’t believe H2 and H3 haven’t been mentioned. Abominations.
The statements are pretty silly, but I will say that people tend to never get out of the payment. Finance a vehicle for 72 months and 3 years later trade it in and get a new one. The trade in value was less than the money owed, and they roll the difference into the new loan.
