Show it vs. a VBox and I’ll buy in. I actually trust phone GPS at big speeds less than the speedo. Phone GPS has position inaccuracies, I’d be curious what the filter length is on an app like that, and the update rate was never designed for 200 mph.

The way the Chiron absolutely monsters through 300 km/h, and then how stable it is cruising at 400 is unreal.
I doubt that speedo is accurate. I’d guess that’s barely 200, might not even be 200.
Wanna improve emissions by a bunch? Make frontal area smaller. Maybe EPA regs will finally kill the giant truck and SUV thing.
All joking aside, I don’t understand the thought process behind making this so ugly. Design goes through reviews, committees, etc and they come up with this?
The real problem is that the M240i and M340i are now SO fast. They’re in another performance league entirely, you get a nicer interior, RWD, I6, etc. Even if an M340i is 10% more, I’m sure most consumers would spend the extra $80/mo in the payment for it.
Well, it’s just as fast, if not faster, so why not? Acura’s lineup makes no sense already.
Yea, this will be even more overpriced than a CTR and won’t hold value as well.
Um, a CTR is $45k base. This will be $50k all day, and probably top $60k with all the bells and whistles.
CTR is $45k starting. This will be $50k easy.
Um, we aren’t talking about Golf Rs. We’re talking about another competitive set entirely when you reach the $50k+ range.
The CTR is in M240i range, so I think it’s likely.
I mean, the Type-R is already $45k so....I can’t see this being less than $50k. Maybe they’ll price the base no-options model at $49,995 just to say it’s under $50k, but even there an M340i is $55k base.
Forget the S3, I suspect this will be in M340i range. That’s a big ask of a FWD Honda.
So, a $60k FWD Honda? LOL.
Hell, at $55k an M340i. They’re FAST.
Ah, Naperville North. This doesn’t surprise me.
It’s a combination of reliability and emissions. Emissions regs finally rolling out on bikes have started to artificially hold them back, and the ultra-high RPM required to squeeze more than 200 hp/l out of the engines means long term reliability becomes impractical.
I don’t get it. You could increase your profit margin so much by leaning into the AA/Carplay. You could spend essentially nothing developing your “head unit”, just let people connect, and charge $$$ for the upgraded large screen.
