Damn, Otik is a great movie, and I'd say it's definitely Svankmajer's best (well, best "gateway", anyway), in that it delivers all of his usual stop-motion weirdness, while still being a pretty traditional narrative feature.

Anaconda is balls, but I think Lake Placid got the short end of the stick in the article. I wouldn't call it "good", but it was much better than my expectations of "total shit".

Same thing happened to me about a year ago. At first, I was surprised as shit that ALF was on TV, and I was further surprised that it held up so well.

When I saw Terrorvision had appeared on Netflix Instant a year or so ago, I had hoped it was a sign it might finally get a DVD release. It actually seems more appropriate to watch it on the used rental VHS I have, though.
