Nope. The only scumbags are the ones who think an ineffective monument to a man’s racism is worth spending money on. If the wall was a national emergency, Trump would’ve done something about it during the 2 years he had both chambers of congress.

I don’t consider this any one party or persons fault. Both parties deserve equal blame on this one. Someone needs to swallow their pride and put us back to work. I would not mind an apology from both sides as well.

Context is key.

Who the fuck let this guy out of the greys?

Nope. The new animus works with a DNA sample of the person you want to relive the memories of. No descendant required.

This idea that keeps getting bounced around that this is the only way to ensure internal consistency with the AC universe is totally false. Not since the Ezio trilogy has this been a major part of any story. You don’t play as a descendant of the historical character anymore. In fact, since the story in this game is

in game where the devs specifically said “we wont force any romances on you that you dont want” and that sexual/romantic partners for the character was 100% player choice, yeah it is.

No they changed the mythology - they’re not bloodline ancestors for quite a few games now.  This was literally unnecessary in the game’s OWN canon.  So fuck off.

This is straight bullshit.

Well, I guess it’s good that I’ll never finish the game and get to this dlc, because my Kassandra ain’t into no dudes.

Honestly this could EASILY have been fixed by just having gay romances adopt. If gay characters or even straight characters DONT bump uglies then just do a bit of a baby showing up magically at the door as by some gods or something... i havnt played the game but honestly you can still fudge the story and have it be

If they wanted to check that they’d “distinguished” enough between the two options (and I can understand the logic of the concept) maybe they could’ve... oh I don’t know... asked a LGBT+ focus group what they thought about this idea first...

Disappointing but I guess they can’t put the genie back in the bottle now. Doing it out of necessity makes a kind of sense but like, you can also totally play Alexios/Kassandra as someone who doesn’t give a shit about their Spartan duty and is just along for the ride, the sarcastic joker. So why would that necessarily

The issue is, as presented—even in the article, here—that the relationship both comes out of nowhere (as it still happens even though the author plainly stated they rebuked the NPC partner all throughout the game) and then also that it goes on to not explain any real reason for the child existing.

I mean, I’m a straight, white man and I totally see the problem with this. Maybe it’s because I enjoy diversity in stories so I have been playing as Kassandra, because she’s a fucking badass and her voice actor is so much better than Alexios, and I’ve been playing her as a lesbian. Not because it’s “hot” or anything,

and it sucks cause you know they’d never dare force a same-sex pairing on a straight gamer. Would’ve been shot down from the start.... but fuck the gays amiright.

You wouldn’t see the issue because as you so aptly put it, you’re a straight white male. What would you know about what a woman goes through? Much less a gay woman. This was a woman of color, who was comfortable with her own sexuality. Why did Ubisoft have to force her to have a child?

Maybe it’s because I’m a straight, white male, but I don’t entirely see the problem with this.

That hasn’t been true for awhile now. Layla can enter anyone’s memories including people she’s not related to. And she got DNA for Kassandra/Alexios for their spear, not from a descendant.

“A strange DLC. The only way to stay true to your character is not to play.”
