You must not have played the reboot. It was a very open experience. Not open world per se, but you could explore and find many different ways to approach combat. Of course their E3 demo is gonna be super scripted. That’s the nature of getting 5 minutes to show off all your stuff.

If you’ve ever wondered why someone might skirt the law by using a VPN to circumvent geoblocking or watch a stream put up by a fan with access, this is why. Many of these people would gladly pay for what they are stealing. They’re only stealing it because there’s no way to pay for it.

Might be outdated for you but some households don't see the necessity of having an Xbox one for every TV. Sharing is caring

Some of us actually like playing together with our friends and cant afford to all be going around buying individual systems and dropping $$ for online mode. Good thing there’s the trusty PC

You must not have any friends irl. Splitscreen is a ton of fun.

I couch co-oped with my girlfriend in Halo for years. Can’t do that in Halo 5.

Maybe for you, but a lot of people have roommates or friends who live close enough to play in person (which is definitively the better experience, even with a smaller screen). If I were still in college, I’d hate this news. As it is, I play Mario Kart with coworkers on my lunch break at work — I’d be devestated if

Though it’s not outdated amongst people who have irl friends.

IMO it will only be outdated once I stop having family and friends come over, even my gf like to play a split screen game with me every now and then.

My girlfriend and I have been sitting on the couch playing through each of the Halo campaigns together, partially in anticipation of Halo 5. This killed one of my major fun factors for the game.

Splitscreen is still entirely necessary for people who like to play with their friends in the same room. I’d hardly called having local friends “outdated”.

Na... there is something magical about sitting next to your sibling/friend and head shot him right in the face. Local multiplayer isn’t going to disappear. The fact that sports game are so popular still is an evidence of that.

This is a major bummer. Splitscreen is the reason I buy things on consoles instead of on computer, and honestly I would buy the PC version in a heartbeat if splitscreen was included. It’s even more of a bummer that a game with a long history of splitscreen no longer has it (and yet even more of a bummer to hear people

Sounds like you’re afraid of being emasculated.

I’ve been waiting for this to make it’s way over from the UK site.

Deal with it. Stop focusing so much on mouths and enjoy the story. They already said that they aren’t able to use mo-cap, so the lip syncing is not going to change.

It doesn’t matter.

The moment I saw her in that wheelchair, I wound up just yelling “FUCK YOU, I JUST WANT THE BOTH OF THEM TO BE FUCKING HAPPY FOR FUCKS SAKE” at the monitor and spent the rest of the night in just a terrible mood. I can’t remember the last time a game got that instant and that emotional of a reaction out of me and I

The designer in me immediately imagined a purely blind experience relying entirely upon 3D sound (think “Virtual Haircut” on YouTube) and make the player navigate those spaces, perhaps with the aid of a companion directing you or by reaching out and touching surfaces in order to “see” them which would be

This sackthing here seems to disagree.
