And unless they were using iOS 5, web apps have half the speed if they're placed on the home screen.

"Do you have something?"
I doubt there will be any legal action against those who bought from the store. Assessing the damages is the most likely scenario.
You're looking at the negative side. Maybe they want to track them down and give them the real version of the products they purchased!
Apple was the first with an App Store as we view it today. They were also the first to call their store an app store. If they had called it an app market, I'm sure Microsoft would be suing to get their hands on that name instead.
If you can name an app store that had the scale or popularity of the iOS app store in 2007, or even now, I'll give you a cookie.
It didn't describe competitors products until they had competitors in the smartphone game.
Microsoft has been fighting Apple over their App Store trademark for quite some time, calling it "too generic".
Without a comparison to other smartphone platforms, it's hard to comment on this.
After all the foreplay with the TSA, Jim was simply too worked up to just board his plane. So, with a few minutes to spare, he finished what a TSA agent had started just 20 minutes earlier.
Haha! So it was Google doing the trolling. I forgot about the Zune (erm... who hasn't?).
Widgets are single purpose, and reside in a dashboard or some other layer. They're meant to be always active for quick access.
There's a pretty big difference between a Widget and an App.
They're not claiming it's new, they're going a different route, claiming that app stores have been around for all time, and that even the phrase "App Store" is too generic. While I assume the Windows app store would either be empty or full of apps like the ones you've mentioned, the Mac App Store has been an entirely different experience. For example, did you know AutoCad recently released a version of their software made for the App Store. It's not as feature rich as the full version,…
They probably won't even be creative enough to call it something other than "App Store".
I do dislike the term homophobe. It makes it seem as these people are somehow frightened by homosexuals.
I think the thing he doesn't see is that it does matter. By exposing children to a gay couple early in life, they'll be less likely to bully gays (which often leads to suicide) and less likely to feel ostracized if they are gay. He laughed at the idea of it saving lives, but something as simple as having gay…
I was at work, only listened to parts of it. I hadn't heard him say that.
But that's the problem, he wasn't kidding. Take the Michael Richards (Kramer) debacle. He started calling a black heckler a racial slur. Should that all be forgotten because it was during a comedy routine?
