Big yes on The Canal. Really, really creepy, and the whole last act just goes from 0 to 100. One of my favorite recent horror movies.

Big ups for Pontypool, Creep, Resolution, Absentia, and The Voices, but I kinda hated In Fear and Eden Lake (despite interesting premises)… and mildly disliked Heartless.

Gotta say, I'm really digging these Film Club videos. On the other hand, < insert snark here> (this being the A.V. Club and all).

1) A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night was pretty damn neat, and this sounds even more fantastic.

A few biblical scholars, Deuteronomy 24:16, and some guy spouting off about turning cheeks may disagree with your interpretation there. Anyhow, seems an odd topic to decide to go Biblical on. If I had to choose, I'd focus less on wrath and more on the begat-ing.

Hating an entire group of people for the crimes of their parents (well, most likely grandparents at this point) sounds irrational to me.
