I really like this point. Another example I always think of is the original The Thing: reasonable, smart people trying to do the rational thing in a crazy situation, and still end up fucked nonetheless.

I would also add that if you're mostly looking for them to dissect movies, The Flop House is arguably the weakest of the three (and I say that as a huge fan). It's more about the hosts and the movie as a launch pad for riffing.

I mean, that's obviously true - and I've also heard some do prefer "indians" - but it's also the case that some would rather not be lumped under monolithic catch-all terms like "native american" or "indian" either.
Mmm I've heard that they prefer to be called the name of their tribe rather than either of those, but I could be wrong.
