The police are supposed to read you your Miranda rights, which inform you of your right to an attorney. The first thing you want to say, after you’re placed under arrest, is that you want to speak to an attorney. After you’ve made that request, you do want to exercise your right to remain silent. Don’t say anything.

I do 10+ mile walks every weekend. Boredom isn’t an issue (I walk to/from/around the Mall in DC), but I’ve never been able to find decent shoes for it. Either my feet start to hurt around six miles, or with the more comfortable shoes, the tear up my heels.
