This is the point where the people in charge start changing the discussion to how a streetcar will "revitalize the neighborhood and attract new development in a way that a bus never could."

Problem is they're adding them to a road that already caries a ton of traffic and can't be widened. The state Department of Transportation won't allow the streetcars to have right-of-way because of that traffic issue.

This particular streetcar will not have the right of way.

This streetcar is being built on a four-lane road (with no shoulders) and will travel in the same lanes as the vehicles. It's a bus that can't turn and costs $365M more.
