Yes! My high school aged-sister and her friends are going bananas, having watched Full House in ABC family after school for years.

Flu Season is a flawless half hour of television and I will fight anyone who disagrees.

In some ways it actually felt super true to character. Jim did buy a house/sign up for a mortgage without talking to Pam, so taking a job behind her back didn't actually seem that out of character.

It seemed to me like she was less willing than him to take a chance on a start up when they had two little kids.

+1 on The Goldfinch. The The Secret History was one of my biggest reading disappointments so I've been scared to take on 'Finch, even though everyone says it's so great. (Or rather, because everyone says it's so great)

Currently reading The Fair Fight by Anna Freeman. It's about female bare knuckle boxers in Bristol in 1799 and so so good. Also working on My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. I know that people say that book is about female friendship but it definitely seems like it's about gal pals, pal-ing around much more so

Read "Secret History" by Donna Tartt this year. Was very disappointed to find, based on how many people recommended it, that I hated it and everyone in it.

Bookended by GOT and VEEP, the fact that the show had only two women who spoke and only one with a name is pretty glaring. It's just boring watching a show that's 99% male and maybe 90% white, not matter how good the writing is.

I totally agree - as if Mary and John weren't already living together and basically married, it's the wedding that will forever end life as we know it!
