At the moment China is only capable of denying the Philippines and other SE Countries fishing rights. Not yet within the interest of the US or other countries not affected. The only way these small countries have a chance is to beat China image wise and paint “it” as bully. Those manmade islands only stays afloat…

No shooting War needed. If China ultimately becomes too aggressive the US will not pay what it owes to China and close its market and ask its allies to embargo Chinese products and boom..China will collapse. Remember how Reagan conceptualize the Star Wars Program.
