The online games I play (StarCraft, DotA, Team Fortress 2) require a good amount of control and focus, so the less time I spend on getting a message across, the better (pings and voice commands help). Those are the only places I'll use shorthand and abbreviations; everywhere else, when I have plenty of time to

You nailed it. Not only is Spekkio's theme delightful, but it totally fits his personality (even when he starts going all Incredible Hulk on you).

Not many people have heard of Squaredance. Props!

You are correct sir. Chrono Trigger has that effect on people.

Black Dream is such a sick track. Thanks for the sweet vid!

Schala's Theme is a popular choice, and for good reason. :) I also really like To Far Away Times, and Singing Mountain is a cool little gem. You know what other track surprised me? Tyran Castle. When I first heard it I was like what the heck, this is some heavy alt rock number! So sick.

Hah, point taken. No matter how many times I hear the songs, though, they're still incredible. Even Schala's theme. ;)

Interesting choice! Definitely one of the more underappreciated tracks.

Now playing

Everyone's favorite Chrono Trigger music. Go.

I agree with you, although I think 30 Rock has been losing a bit of steam in more recent episodes. I can't put my finger on it but somehow it just doesn't seem as funny as it used to be.

The Big Bang Theory (and by extension Two and a Half Man, same producer) are like the Justin Bieber of comedy shows. The Biebz is immensely popular, but is also immensely unpopular. Like Bieber, The Big Bang Theory has a lot of mass appeal but lacks substance. The laughs and gags are cheap and shallow.

I could be a dick here and tell you to Google it, but thankfully I know the answer (without having to Google it myself). No they're not, despite their similarities. When it first came out it was seen as sort of a copy, but over the years it's developed into its own. Not quite a competitor to One Piece, though.

I started watching anime around the time Naruto first began, and picked up Bleach and One Piece along the way. Now I find Bleach largely a waste of time and I'm just waiting for Naruto to conclude (which should be happening soon). One Piece is far from over and just keeps getting better and better every year. :)

Haha, that's understandable. One Piece has an absolutely HUGE universe and cast of characters, and it's all intricately connected. It starts off fairly small and just get exponentially bigger every story arc.

If you want to give the series a try I'd recommend something similar, because for most people One Piece doesn't hit its stride until the Arlong Park arc (which is about 30 episodes in). If you don't like the show after that, you should try something else.

Yeah—still kinda are. :(

Indeed they are!

One Piece is possibly my favorite manga (certainly my favorite shounen by a wide margin), but Oda does not draw females well, a fact which he's admitted. The unrealistic proportions are one thing—Oda's style is unique and if he wants to exaggerate the female form, as he does other things, I can live with that.

Who says it's a he? ;)

Don't jinx it!
