@Sean Netzel: Yeah, exactly. I can't stand that manufactured bubblegum pop. American pop left that behind in the 90s with groups like 'NSYNC—granted, now every song is autotuned and electronica crap, but Korea never quite grew out of it.

@Precipitation: Ha, no, just a careful observer of culture. They do that on purpose because there's this screwed up Korean ideal look that every girl goes for. It's disgusting and stupid.
@Saturnine, your neighborhood PC elitist.: I'm sorry, but, I think...I think...we can't do this anymore.
@Sean Netzel: Eh. I've been listening to KPop for a long time and they're nothing special. What's worse is that you can hardly tell the girls apart—if you're going to form a group, you should take advantage of individuality. They're entertainers first and foremost.
@HerrStoy: Sticks and stones, my friend. ;)
@AttackAllAround: I don't recognize the song, but I have this thing against the recent outbreak of girl/boy groups. They all sound the same, have way too many members, and are more "entertainers" than "musicians". In other words, they're basically in it for the money and the fame.
Oh hey look, some KPop that's actually good! No need to thank me. ;)
@Cute_and_Hirsute: It's mostly the eyes, possibly nose and face as well.
@AttackAllAround: Most of which are bad, but are less bad than "Gee". Sheesh!
@hhbx: You're very welcome! You should check out the rest of the comics if you haven't already. One of the best videogame webcomics out there, bar none!
@dathascome: I agree, but the point I'm trying to make is that "all that comes along with it" is just shit nobody needs. It's absolutely disgusting what we've done to glamorize and whore out celebrity's lives, with the fault landing on both sides.
@Deadsider: Good man, solid points. Knew there was a reason I followed you. ;)
@Xaif: Hey now, let's not start assuming things. I agree with your first point, but then you lost me, man.
@ClaudioIphigenia: Both parts, but less on her part. ;)
@ClaudioIphigenia: I don't think she expected quite this much. And she kinda had to deal with the consequences, since they pretty much trapped her. :(
@Nyctus: Experts, eh? I like the sound of that! Although I'm not sure if I'm quite deserving of such a title. "Semi-pro", maybe? :D
@Deadsider: I agree with your point. I maintain that her cosplay is perfectly fine, but there are some unfortunate risks involved. I don't think it would've been quite as bad if it was in any country other than Japan—they're infamous for that kind of thing.
@Zangetsu shall rule the cornfield!: Damn straight man! This is why I love playing with friends and family that I know aren't pro either. No matter who ends up winning, we all have fun playing, even if there is a bit of friendly competition.
@Batman: It can apply to any competitive multiplayer game, but I'm thinking mainly RTS, FPS and fighting games.
@Xaif: Not quite. First off, this is an extreme example...I'm sure most cosplayers are comfortable getting their photos taken, but not being friggin' mobbed by 100 photographers.
