It also kinda has a similar feel to LittleBigPlanet. At least, for me it did.
@Neige: Ha, that "riding" could be taken two ways.
@Gergereth: True that. I hope, for both their studio and gamers all over the world, that they succeed in their endeavor!
@LKchaos: No kidding? In that case, I hope they succeed—it would certainly be an encouraging example for other companies to follow. :)
While this is awesome, I'm a bit perplexed. How is the company and its employees being reimbursed for their work? Do they expect to recoup all the development costs (and eventually turn a profit) just through the microtransactions?
@AcidCrownie: oh fo SHO
Thanks to Kotaku for posting this, and all of you who donated. Hope this money goes to good use!

@Xaxir: Thank you for that intelligent and well thought-out response. You bring up a lot of good points, ones that were beyond the scope of my original post, and I'm glad you did! There are a lot of factors at play here and it would be foolish to simplify it and cry for the death penalty.
@Runefox: I understand the point your making, and I agree with the gist of it, but think—how many people do these things and actually expect to hit someone? In most cases, we don't, until something actually happens. Then, we are made painfully aware of the consequences of our negligence.
@laa97: Haha, thanks. I wouldn't go that far, but I do try to provide some perspective when people are flying off the handle and saying whatever emotionally-driven vitriol comes to mind without thinking it through first.
@Hobos-in-Space: No no, she deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law—more if she has no remorse or has psychological issues. That's not what I'm saying here.
