I agree, they all have enough silicone installed to act as such.

If you’re driving across the country and stop at a battery swap station, you get a different battery, one that might be more or less degraded than the one you leave there. If that dynamite Tesla guy just went to a swap station and swapped out his battery, his problem would be solved, but whoever picked up his battery…
Tesla wasn’t always against it. I seem to remember this from 5 or 6 years ago. I can’t find an article about the controversy. If I remember right, it was controversial because they used this tech to win a grant for companies that could design ways to quickly recharge EVs. Musk comes along, how about a robot that swaps…
Hate to break it to you, but what happens in anti-vax land doesn’t stay in anti-vax land.
Wait until the “yoke” in the new Model S’ starts causing accidents.
If you make it easy for people to do the wrong thing, more people will do the wrong thing. If you could magically achieve 100% accountability, it would still cost you a great deal more money, time, and dead people than it would just to not put a gun in everyone’s hands in the first place.
The distracted or drunk driver as per your second example can take out other people. This is why these things are banned. As are many things that are inherently dangerous while operating a multi ton missile at high speed.
Tesla is once again caught totally ignoring vehicle safety regulations and is given a slap on the wrist by the NTSB.
Yeah, it’s almost like Tesla just doesn’t care...
Was surprised that this was possible.
Tesla is run by a CEO who doesn’t like cars, and would rather play video games than drive. They sell their cars to people who feel the same way.
I’m glad the investigation will continue anyways. I’m sick and tired of Tesla getting to play fast and loose with with the same regulations that everyone else has to follow.
He wants to cosplay as a humble man-o’-the-people so that when he has to pay taxes on the stock he’s forced to sell, dudes making $35000/year dumping their extra money in Dogecoin will defend him on twitter.
Why would he even make this shit up? What could this possibly gain him? And what is up with the stupid looking hair cut?
In a John Oliver voice: “That wiper, quite literally, fucks”
I still can't believe people want to buy this abomination.
Well, he’s not... Gwynne Shotwell is designing the rockets, Musk makes sure she has all the money she needs to do it. That’s not a knock on Musk by the way, being able to knock down obstacles to Getting Shit Done is his biggest skill and that’s incredibly valuable. I just like to see credit where credit is due.
