“Shark in moat eats whole fish”. Tesla just let more sharks into their moat.
I work at Lucid. If we did this I’d be embarrassed as h3ll.
I’m a database engineer at Lucid. And you have to sell the most expensive models first while you “learn” to walk. We’ll build maybe 10+K cars this year. And you would want to start with the cheapest versions first? It’s the same thing Tesla did to reach scale. Also, Tesla built 3K cars in 2012 (the Model S and…
The Lucid Air is a bit smaller than a Model S. Like by an inch shorter. And it’s a lot smaller than a S-Class/7 Series. Interior wise, I think it’s almost as big as an S-Class.
I did. The Tesla’s recruiters contacted me several times to get me me in for interviews and I told them each time there’s no way I’d ever work at a company ran by Elon. I’ve been at Lucid Motors, as a sr. database engineer, for a couple years now.
It depends on what breaks. Broken crankshaft’s are no joke. Mine broke and all I remember is going over the side of the bike and then walking up on the ground with my neighbors staring down at me a few minutes later. Concussions suck.
Use the 57" rule as a starting point. I’m 6' and have 9' walls and hang all of my art at 63" centered, except one that’s 48"x48" (it’s just too close to the ceiling at 63").
I also asked the gallery in Europe where most of my pieces came from. They use the 57" rule because people of all heights visit them. If you’re…
Well.. “almost” always works.. :)
Computers came with “Turbo” buttons years back. Did you get over that?
Nope, not the same for the C6 Z06. I had a 2006 Z06 that needed a new roof. But only the plastic top was coming off. Not the entire effing roof. That sheet of plastic was maybe 2-3 pounds at best.
But to change the plastic top, they unbolted the entire roof and put in a new one.
“It certainly won’t be beating 911s at anything, including repeated 0-60 launches, but it’ll certainly be cheaper.”.
What you just said could be said for every single truck being made today by GM, Ford, Toyota, etc. Unreal.
When I first got my license I came in way too quickly into a gas station, tagged the island curb, hopped over it and hit a gas pump. I was driving a 1972 Capri. Zero damage to the suspension. Pump wasn’t so lucky.
That was “Gung Ho”, staring Michael Keaton.
Thanks :) I am. That’s why I really preach tech for those like me. It literally saved me and gave me the path to a great career. And I didn’t start enterprise tech until my late 2os. Before that the only skills I had was working in the cellar at the wineries in Napa Valley.
I was actually thinking about my next stage…
You can make that with just 6 months of training. And 3-5 years later make a 6 figure income. And no college needed.
And I really mean that. I was homeless at 16 and then again at 21, after my 2-year old son died. If I can do it, really almost anyone can.
Amazon never did a second, third, fourth, etc. round of funding. Ever. But don’t let that stop you from comparing the two.
I’m a SQL DBA in the bay area and my license plate had “SQL” in it. One night I was going out to dinner and right after I got out of my car a guy points at my plate and says “squeal.. like a pig?”. haha. Sure.
Tesla is not a start-up.
If Tesla actually made ventilators they would be forever in beta mode and you would be responsible if your ventilator swerved into the path of another ventilator.
