You’re right. I just sold my 2006 z06 8 months ago. For the last 20 years I’ve been a sr. database architect in the silicon valley. I sometimes cry myself to sleep wondering where it all went wrong.
Absolutely. I had a 2006 Z06 for 10 years. I ended up having to use it as a DD from Hollister to San Bruno (180 miles round trip) for a few months and it was awesome. No issues at all. And I got ~27 mpg.
And I like the GS. It’s what the C7 Z06 should have been, but it needs a bit more power. I’d actually go the GS…
I grew up in Oakland and my father was a cop there (back when Huey Newton ran the Black Panthers). Some areas I wouldn’t send my enemies to. And there are parts, like Montclair, Piedmont, the Broadway Terrace area, etc that are beautiful and safe.
That? No. But I am proud of the 11 years my father served to protect the public in Oakland. And that was against the Black Panthers ran by Huey Newton. Back when the BPs hunted cops for fun. Have you done more to protect the people in your city? Put your life on the line for a job?
My father was an Oakland cop for 11 years. One night, while off-duty, he was driving his Corvette while drunk, lost it, and took the entire nose of the car off. When the cop got there, they all covered for him. They wrote up in the report that he was forced off of the road by a “phantom” driver and they drove him home.
