Peace and love, but we’ve been using singular ‘they’ since Shakespeare. It’s perfectly fine and not nearly as complicated to understand as you seem to be suggesting.

Steam’s had exclusives for *years*. Thousands of them, both big and small. Try playing a legitimately purchased copy of Civilization 6 without ever downloading Steam. Total War series? You can’t. Its Steam Exclusive and those are just some of the bigger names. Hell, Steam used to have an entire category and branding

No mention of one of the top-tier replies in the comments of the twitter post?

Not saying they weren’t rude or racist and that they didn’t ask more questions than needed. But I know at the FCU, we are required to take down a bunch of that info (occupation, age, etc) for depositing any check over (I want to say $5000) by federal regulatory laws (I believe the Banking Security Act).

You are using the “No True Scotsman” fallacy on race. And since race is some made-up shit you can sorta get away with it. But I tell you, if my daughters are black enough to get a heaping dose of racism, they are black enough to be black.

Seems like Markle is not black enough for you to defend her, and not white enough

Something about trying to label this “black history” simply does not sit well with my spirit? Like, really? People still watch the Bachelor? Black people watch it, looking for representations of “black love,” no less?

Black love?  Who finds love on this show, don’t most of the couples break up after they get engaged?  I don’t have any use for a show that treats people like cattle at auction for someone to pick and choose over.

I mean, you can decide words mean whatever you want them to, but no one else has to play the game by your rules.

strangely, it appears that some people who agree with trumps policies (?!) are starting to find his presentation so off-putting that they are considering voting for biden.

If you didn’t know anything about Rob Reiner, you could have at least taken 30 seconds to Google him. He’s been a highly vocal (and financial) advocate for civil rights for 50 years. He helped start the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He’s repeatedly bankrolled challenges to Right-wing legal attacks on women,

They are fake news. Bring it on was perfect and has never had a sequel yet.

We’re not done until Gargoyles is rebooted.

“Sawayama tells Vice that she could have given up her Japanese passport to qualify for the ceremonies but chose not to.”

And thirdly...why?

So, I hear/see this performance art pièce de résistance being framed like this: She’s a white woman, arguably the most privileged of us all, using her privilege to stand up to the authoritarian regime by protecting peaceful protesters.

I liked the ending quite a bit but had not thought about this at all. Thank you (no pun intended) for presenting a new angle to a show that has nothing but different angles from which to look for each topic. The show was incredibly thoughtful and created thoughtful discussion, like you fully showed above.

Yeah, they absolutely missed the message.

I saw a great thread the other day about how online out rage is basically a marketing scheme. That makes sense to me.

Not to be cynical, but so far it looks like their idea of “modernising the monarchy” (and leaving when it refused to be modernised) is that they should keep the fun bits (grace-and-favour homes paid for by the taxpayer, security, access to royal estate income, travel to tropical bits of the commonwealth, and making
