To be honest, I do like Ellaria (Indira Varmi is pretty great) so by making her stronger in the show, to me could be a good move . And it puts an interesting strong female character spin on things.
(Since I've just about given up on Dany lately, what the hell happened to that storyline)

…and leaving out truly beloved book ones , like Arienne ?

Really. They could have a their own spinoff.

that would be him, thanks.

This is SO true, they completely obliterated book Dorne for sure last night. Personally, I loved Arianne, and I think leaving her out of the show was a huge mistake.
Perhaps in this new Ellaria, the show writers are redeeming themselves a bit and creating a character similar to Arianne?

Really:
Don't you think this is where we begin to blur the line re: book characters VS show characters.
You can talk books, plot, etc., but little by little, does it really matter? GA Martin has to answer that question, I guess.

He reminded me too much of the prince of flowers anyway, what's his name, now in jail?

Yeah in Dorne— females rule !

Yes- With a few HBO attention getting slashes of their numerous knives, whips& matching dominatrix outfits, Dorne became Land of the Amazons after an entirely wasted season 5.
Now it seems that HBO is attempting to bring to life the wonderfully written book spitfire Arienne into the show via Ellaria et al taking her

You make decent points. It happens every season. Now I know, never take Murphy's writing seriously. Plot lines unresolved, characters going nowhere, languishing like Ramona Royale, John Lowe. And yes, it's getting to be too much now. Even fans of the show are tired of it. I know I am. Bored.
Asylum which actually got

Hardy was good in Fury Road (really he could've legit got 2 nominations) which brings me to this:
why the hell wasn't Charlize Theron nominated best actress for her kick ass role as Furiosa? No other can do scary/ tough bitch like Charlize. Even though—-she's one of the most beautiful women in the world.

I was completely sure Batholomew would be referenced in some way.

Chocolate chip? You got it. Let's reserve rooms in The Bates motel now, just in they get booked

chocolate chip or sugar ?

——and the tone was set for the season. I am sure some viewers did not come back after that first episode. The addiction demon? So not necessary. Why the sickening dildo and I hate to say it, rape? What Murphy was thinking about or trying to say when he created that sequence, I'll never know. (Maybe I don't want to

Bates Motel YES! Norman should be ahem, 'coming of age ' Vera Farmiga is lovely BUT with an off putting edge. What happened to Taissa on AHS does anyone know?

She did. The real Liz would simply be delighted that she was referenced in this way, I'm sure Murphy legally cleared that.

Yes, we ( well , I do) actually agree with you—- but if you notice, we're mainly giving kudos to Denis O' Hare. In other words, we are picking out one good thing about the show this season and concentrating on that.
Not sure If you're a fan, I was— it's tough— but guess I still am. Truthfully after the 1st appalling

and she's bringing turbans back !

Agree 1000%
