but lotus doesn't have an inhouse engine, they use Toyota i4, and v6. They almost certainly wouldn't tune a Mazda Rotary engine, and I doubt Toyota would be ok with lotus putting a Toyota engine into a Miata.

when you say their own engine do you mean their tuned Toyota I4/V6, or a tuned version of the I4 in the MX-5? They definitely wouldn't tune a radical engine, and I seriously doubt Toyota would allow them to tune or put their engines into a Miata
