Neutral: Trucks are just a substitute for land yachts. The family sedan of yore used to have a 20+ cuft trunk, seating for 6, and come priced well enough that you didn’t feel bad using and abusing it. Modern sedans just aren’t a good value compared to trucks, especially once you factor in resale value. A full size

I like this chart better. Really drives home the significance of the temperature change on the scale of world history.

I like V8s and making fun of die-hard eco activists as much as the next guy, but man, outright denial of climate change just makes you look like a dumbass.

You’re going to use some prediction about Mt. Kilimanjaro as your measuring stick on global warming?

Teslas are somewhat common in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. They are rare, but not as rare as a W12 Phaeton

At this point, the best thing for Europe is for the UK to got “no deal” and for it to go so badly, no one ever seriously considering going that route again.

I’m honestly pretty impressed by just how much of a colossal fuckup Brexit has become. Who knew that giving in to paranoid, racist delusions could be bad for a country?

Essentially all stretch limos are remanufactured as you described so yes, it is completely reasonable and accurate to say that the ban covers all stretch limos.

Do you know how limos are made?

Doesn’t “stretch” limo mean that it was “stretched” by an aftermarket modification? That is always what I understood. Or are there manufacturer authorized stretch modifications that meet some safety requirements and would not be covered by this bill?

As a long time GMer, I’m so done with the fucking excuses and mismanagement and hollow vapid ra-ra quotes that don’t amount to shit. Always late to the party and looks as if they just got dressed. The worst kind of late. If you’re gonna be late, at least make an entrance. Have the room entranced. Cadillac does neither.

Okay, but what if someone told you: “No, you can’t buy it for $35k anymore, now it’s $41k”? That’s the same percentage increase. I’m sure someone out there shopping $500 shitboxes is thinking “If you’ve got $35k, what’s another 6?”

I firmly believe this was the pinnacle of Civic. Great cars.

This! Why do i have to go to a dealership then argue about invoice price for 3 days and then settle on a price that’s “fair” but not great because everyone needs their cut. Basically we can eliminate MSRP and start selling at invoice + shipping + whatever small markup they need to cover the salaries of the 4 people

That’s something people don’t get about Tesla. It’s not just that they’re making good EVs, it’s also that they’re upending the entire sales model. When I bought mine, I went from configuring to approved loan in less than an hour, with delivery to my home a week later.

Written: “At Neflix, employees are allowed to take all the vacation time they want!”

I don’t have a problem with someone like Jobs or Gates or Elon in making cubic craptons of money. Because these guys came up with a concept, built a company from ground up, etc.

It’s not that “manufacturers don’t want to,” it’s that they’re legally prohibited.

It reminds me of the transformation in the delivery and consumption of music beginning in the late 90s.
