Capitalism is a political topic though...

When you factor in all the local parts suppliers, restaurants etc it will be far more than 2500 jobs.

1st gear - so much politicking going to be made of GM Shutting down Oshawa, but this is just capitalism doing what capitalism does. If you blame anything else you don’t understand the system in which we live.

May not be a popular opinion, but I would say the Ford Mustang. At least since the 4th Gen.

I actually prefer the sierra to the silverado on the newest generation. The silverado with the chrome bumpers looks too work-truck for me. They cost too much to look like a meager work truck

I never sit in a seat without looking in it first. I didn’t need this story to start looking in a seat before parking my own butt in it.

$7500 on a $45K car is a big deal

7,500$ on a 120K car isn’t a big deal.

Neutral: I think it may hinder some people, but I really don’t think it will be a big deal overall. Tesla is the automotive equivalent of Apple, it doesnt matter the cost or what the competition does there will always be droves of people who have to have it.

Neutral: Do All of These Environmental Reports Freak You Out?

Stock prices are really measurements for what investors think will happen in the future. Investors don’t see Ford performing any better in the future than they are now, and in fact may become less profitable as it cuts models and interest rates rise, making expensive trucks harder to buy.

Cool, send me a link where I can go buy a new Saab.

You know you’ve lost the argument when you’re forced to resort to using “sheep” to describe people who make a different choice than you’d prefer.

“people” have never cared about driving.

You will fight them by whining about them on Jalopnik? Why, you’re virtually guaranteed to win!

Jalopnik has a bias against CUV’s so no matter what they have to find some negative. They act like somehow convenience is a bad thing.

Another unsung reason: loading and unloading kids from car seats is vastly easier with the ride height of a modern SUV.

I am completely baffled at the way 1st Gear if written. It starts off saying the only reason we buy CUVs and SUVs is because we’re fat and old (not sure why you didnt throw ugly in just for good measure and completing the full insults). Then it goes on to give all the really good design and comfort reason that these

The world changes when you have herniated discs.
