No. A higher gas tax is unfair to the poor.
It’s really shocking a phone company is struggling to make a car.
I believe that most people honestly underestimate how incredibly hard it is to make a good car, and how much harder it is to make one that satisfies the various regulatory bodies. Look at the students doing FSAE, which are quite simple cars, and the difficulties they have. Now extend this to all the various systems.
It’s like homebuying: some people want a turnkey home that’s ready to move into, and some people want a project/fixer-upper.
Apple’s car project is in such disarray that if you replaced “Apple” with “Hooli”, I would think it’s the main plot point of Silicon Valley Season 3. Billionaire doors!
I’m far from an Apple fan in general, but Apple without Steve Jobs seems to be a lot like Top Gear without Clarkson: It’s still there, and it’s not horrible - but the “magic” seems to be lost.
Now we just need Samsung to buy Ferrari and we’re set...
The new Mac is different than I thought it’d be.
This car is far from unique.
This is cringe worthy even without the trailer/trailer loading.
I’m not sure what planet you live on where that Bolt is anything near a coupe.
If you’re spending 40k on an electric car, you should probably get the one that fits you best. The model 3 will perform better, but everyone has their tastes which is fine.
Well built car? From GM? Surely you jest.
“Bolt” can mean more than one thing. It’s clearly named after a fabric measurement, not the fastener.
Add in another $750 for the DC charger in the car. There is no point getting a 200 mile range EV unless it has fast DC charging.
Working on cars for a living has shown me that unless your General Motors product has a LS/LT V8 and rear wheel drive your car was not built well at all and exists solely to make money for the Corvette/Camaro/Silverado lines
“Bolt” is a terrible name for a car. Why not “Screw,” “Washer,” or “Wingnut”?
“Introducing the all-new Chevy Grommet.”
37 grand for something that looks like a Chevy Aveo? Form follows function but that thing has no form at all.
