What other cars are they possibly cross shopping?
What other cars are they possibly cross shopping?
Actually that is exactly what gives something value, the fact that someone else will pay for it.
All those assholes swapping in an actual reliable motor that produce decent horsepower and fuel range. Assholes.
Beat to shit, ebay modded, eclipses sell for $5k. This thing is easily worth $10k.
Even more incredible are the number of union members I’ve talked to that are anti-union themselves...
No. Their interests don’t align. Unions represent labor and the GOP is generally more cozy with the companies.
They can’t prevent members from voting against their best interests. They can only suggest.
I doubt many people will wait that long. I reserved and was actually hoping for 2019-2020 but I think I’ll get my delivery earlier than I expected. Tesla is raising a ton of capital now to speed up the process but they do have a track record of not hitting Musk’s deadlines.
The is no “base model guy” vs “premium guy”. You don’t get to configure the car until you spot in line comes up. Right now they have no idea who is going to go for what options.
I don’t think Tesla even needs the tax credits to sell vehicles anymore. They can sell the Model S and X without them for sure. When the credits expire I think all vehicles, including the Model 3, will have no problems selling. Demand is no longer an issue for Tesla. All manufacturers are able to take advantage of the…
I’m more likely to request a refund if they ramp up production. I got on the list early to ensure my tax credit but assumed they won’t get me the vehicle until after 2018. If it comes earlier it might not make sense financially.
It’s not a traditional hatch because they need to sell a ton of them in the US. I’d prefer a lift back like the Model S but my guess is some kind of design constraint. They could still surprise us. Musk has made comments that they want to work on the trunk opening.
...and Tesla makes money on the initial sales. It doesn’t even matter if people are flipping or not. This posts is just stupid.
I would guess the number of flippers to be extremely low. How many people are going to risk $40k for the chance they might make an extra $5k? Elon also commented that the low number of multiple vehicles suggests that flipping is not an issue.
Not like he knows it’s unsafe and trying to hide that fact. I don’t see the problem since he is clearly disclosing that he thinks you’re going to kill yourself on it. Drunk joke aside.
Yeah, the 420a is pretty reliable but no fun at all. My first DSM was a Talon ESi. I had a friend with a turbo 420a a few years ago. Building a 420a to barely be faster than a 4g63 with a hardware store boost controller seems counter productive.
You can acknowledge why things are the way they are and still support Tesla in breaking that barrier. Doesn’t have to be one or the other.
They do have service centers though. Is the problem that Tesla doesn’t want to open every single store as a service center? Makes sense to me from an economical standpoint but may also be where they law is stopping them.
At this point Telsa basically owns the “Model” moniker now. Why would Ford want to confuse people when they abandoned the “Model” naming a long, long time ago?
Who wants to bet they had no actual plans to use the name “Model E” until Tesla tried to use it?
