In order to film there they would have had to set up contracts. I'm going to guess Paramount is going to tell them to fuck right off.

yeah...imagine playing this with no regenerating health, no peek around corners, no interaction prompts on the HUD, and using the keyboard arrow keys for movement/aiming. you kids today don't know how good you have it.
The piracy apologists should be along soon to explain to you how you can't steal virtual items. Just nod and smile.
Still no story on the PS4 failures. You guys aren't even trying to hide your bias anymore.. If this was Xbox you guys would have jumped on it. In fact, betting when a few XB1's inevitably do have issues you guys do just that.
Interesting fact: Nobody's bought the PS Vita.
They never would have had an incentive to lower their digital prices because of 1) pressure from very powerful current retail partners such as big-box stores and places like Gamestop and 2) the fact that their digital marketplace has no competition. Why should they drop digital game prices when there is nobody else…
Ah, the Steam Red Herring.
Agreed wholeheartedly.
If this was for a "better future" why wasn't a middle ground looked at? Microsoft biggest enemy in this whole situation is themselves. You can't just say "My way is better!" without being able to clearly discuss why it's better and why your doing these things. Also, don't just attack criticism…
This. If Microsoft had done one thing differently they would be way in front in terms of opinion right now. "Yeah we know the check-ins are a pain but trust us, when you can play the latest AAA titles at bang on midnight of launch day for half the retail price of a physical copy, you will freakin' love it"
Or a good way to get people to fork over extra $ when they re-introduce family plans next year...
Here's my open letter...
I've posted this elsewhere, so I'll post it here: I don't understand why they didn't give us an option. Allowing used games and taking the region-lock off is great, but killing the family plan is dumb. They should of given us an option. Want the family sharing plan? Allow us to check in on you every 24 hours. Don't…
All they had to do was guarantee $29.95 AAA new releases for digital downloads and they could have kept their DRM policies. All the talk the industry does about used games and piracy causing high prices is all bullshit. It is simple greed.
They made a call without consulting the market. They pushed that design choice all the way to production. Then they announced that design choice. The market reacted.
Everybody won except for people who wanted a digital library with price competition.
Innovation lost. Stagnation won, that is a massive loss. We have the same consoles for another decade now. Today wasn't a celebration - it was extremely disappointing.
but they didn't. By ditching the DRM the Xbone lost its greatest feature, the family plan. It was the only thing on xbox i was looking forward to, now its gone, i guess i am going PS4 for sure now.
Not really, no. Microsoft wanted to allow people to share digital games, access them from anywhere a la Steam, and a lot of other cool features like that. Their DRM policies merely existed to prevent people abusing those cool new features.
The only difference that matters:
