Wow. The idea that the president’s job is to be a hype-man and the citizens are at fault if s/he fails is... interesting, for sure. Very Trumpian.

Maybe they don’t like children in cages, a 6:3 conservative supreme court, leaving NATO, Muslim bans, trans bans, etc etc etc?
In Russia, pissed-off citizens are actually a possible force for change. See recent unrest over raising the retirement age.
So you want to entrust all means of production to the same crappy government that can’t be bothered to keep private companies properly regulated? Why?
I don’t disagree. But he could have done some good in 2016, and could do more going forward, provided he sheds the supporters who only support him as a way to sticking it to the “Establishment,” and reinvents himself as a team player.
To be fair, even that first premise is questionable. Which is why I agree about staying in the Senate or private sector - he’s a better activist than he is a legislator, team builder, policy wonk, etc.
I mean look at men’s and women’s soccer. The dudes are rolling on the ground after the tiniest shove, the women keep playing after full force soccer ball to the head and bleeding.
Can you tell I don’t have kids or pay attention on buses? OK, the MTA sucks in even more ways than the obvious. (I see why unattached strollers on buses would be an issue, but still.)
I am so sorry for that last experience (and all the others too). I have only had to deal with a bike in a subway, and can’t imagine trying to do all that but with a baby.
In theory, if there was decent bus service, that could help for shorter trips. Alas.
We have a similar experience. Plus this year, I’m genuinely unclear about what the march is for. There seems to be no unifying theme. In 2017, there was no need for a theme - so many women felt under attack by Trump’s election (and Clinton’s loss) and just wanted to show up. But now - it just seems a bit directionless.
I mean this could be done in much fewer words - two self-governing states, side by side. But not if the person answering believes in a one-state solution.
Is this true in the tech sector?
This is a man who shut down the gov’t because Fox news talking heads called him weak. He will not settle for an Oval Office speech. Not that that means he’ll open the gov’t...
I mean why not throw in a diagnostic for Alzheimer’s?:)
And by ‘bad’ they mean ‘doesn’t win us elections anymore,’ not ‘doesn’t represent us as a party.’
Bills need a majority in the House to pass. So AOC needs at least the Dems to be on board, and ideally some Repubs as well. Which means congresspeople representing all kinds of districts need to be able to explain to their constituents why a given bill is good for them. Her ability to write a Green New Deal bill is…
And one of those white guys, the incoming chair of the Judiciary committee and a lawyer, is actually making a different point - that making impeachment a goal without having all the evidence in is premature.
It’s interesting how you choose to support Sanders by questioning the many many stories of many many real women who encountered Berniebros. My BB BiL is Russian, but his anger against me and HRC was fueled by the frustration of trying to defend policy and politics he really didn’t bother understanding, not by Putin’s…
I’d guess they are trolling Republicans and Trump. I mean no Dem legislation will pass with this Senate and President anyways, but this seems like an effective tool to stem wasteful Republican spending.
