I was wondering about that. Morning show guests have the pre-show meeting and a rundown of the questions, and I'm sure both ladies had their flackies there to go over any concerns with the producers.

I sure hope so. Apparently the Kardashian show has been losing ratings for 4 years, but we still keep hearing about them nonstop. One of the things that's annoying nowadays is that 15 minutes of fame has stretched into forever (or maybe it just seems like forever...I guess we don't hear much from Paris Hilton anymore).
I agree that this case is not an example of the media preying on a victim, since her and her mother found solace in it.
Maybe you didn't read the part where I said the parents are stupid. Or maybe you just need to make up scenarios about me to fill a desperate need to be right.
By we, you mean the theaters, and yes, they should abide by the agreements they made. For an R rated movie, that's "no children without an adult or guardian." And parents were taking kids to the Exorcist instead of Paranormal Activity 40 years ago. That's why they created the ratings system in the first place.
Seems pretty easy...retraining and punishment if they don't treat the victims like they do victims of other crimes. But somehow it doesn't happen.
Exactly. Entertainment media is bought and sold. She's likely spending a ton of money beyond the show's PR on her own. I doubt it's much fun but it works.
Yes, though public outcry is often as phony as any apology. Actually, public outcry is a misnomer since it's usually small groups of people demanding satisfaction for being offended, whether they truly were or not (does anyone think conservatives were truly offended by MHP and not reacting to the last round of Pass…
I kind of am now.
The one part that wasn't touched on in the article is that she was originally "outed" after having fought twice. At the time, MMA governing bodies were still unclear on what to do and hadn't determined it was safe. So the first two didn't know what they were getting into, but fighters since then have.
Yep. Tastemaker are the dumbest people on earth.
You already have it built in to your Tv and cable/satellite box. You can block content that isn't suitable for children.
No, we should not hassle theaters for the mistakes parents make. They've agreed, along with studios and distributors, to abide by the MPAA ratings system. NC17 is for adults only. R allows children with a guardian. There are no Constitutional rights involved, but the theaters are abiding by what they agreed to 40…
They were just yelling at Deion.
Having worked a lot of security in my younger days, it's the confidence that comes from a lack of consequences. It's not always women, but it's almost always someone who doesn't know how dangerous fighting is.
Also, George Romney was a champion of civil rights, and he was the most notable of the Mormons who stood up to the church and demanded change. That was against stiff opposition and the possibility of being (whatever their version of excommunicated is). It's very probable that Mitt really did break down and cry from…
If that's the case, why did the couple we never hear from do it?
If you'd like to borrow my binoculars, you might still be able to see the joke off in the distance.
Thanks for starting a thread where everyone can talk without shouting and being so straightforward.
And zillions of ex-Californians.
