Motorcycling is significantly more dangerous than driving a car - but we don’t ban it even though we would probably save almost all the people who die on motorbikes. Lots of things that are incredibly dangerous happen all the time - guess we should close the Nurburgring too.

They both have things to show for it, and I have nothing against Musk, and agree that Musk achieved his success more down to his own talents than being given copious amounts of cash (sorry, i meant small $1 million loan). But being successful can breed a certain level of over confidence (in the UK in the 1980's there

I live on the east coast of england, which means my 50 mile radius is half of what it could be as there’s no cars for sale in the North Sea. At least my most expensive car is relatively interesting if not limited to the ultra wealthy. A Caparo T1 at £199,995

They are different pictures of different, but similar, cars sitting in the same place, the 1 0f 80 is a 599 SA Aperta (convertible, look closely) the other is a 599 GTO, you can also see a car in the background on the GTO photo which isn’t there on the other one.

I think Musk, similarly to Trump, has had so much success in his life that if he thinks he can do something, he actually believes he can, even if theres evidence to to contrary, much as Trump does. They both believe they are right about everything, and cannot forsee being wrong. This is a dangerous thing, as is

A 2003 Citroen C3 1.4 HDi - having plowed my tinfoil 1995 Citroen AX into the side of a 1yr old Vauxhall Astra breaking my femur, my parents offered me their car! This was only once my sight had restored and I was laid up in hospital mentally weighing up all the possible cars I could buy next - most likely some kind

As much as I hate the Daily Fail, its quite obvious that ANY internal combustion engine vehicle produces cancer-causing toxins. Ice cream vans are usually use normal vans, which are everywhere. If you measure the exhaust fumes close to the exhaust pipe - they will be high! You could apply the same test to anything -

In Most of Europe they use . where we use , and vice versa. Interestingly, according to the General Conference of Weights and Measures (people who say how much a kg is etc), you should just use a space, so they’re wrong and so are you - it should have been 1 000 000.

This - in contrast to the high mileage Murcielago you recently featured which oddly has less than half the mileage the odometer shows on the official records:

Have to say with the CGI these days it’s getting pretty hard to distinguish - anyone see ‘The Jungle Book’ docu-film with talking animals? - if they weren’t talking for the most part you would struggle to realise it wasn’t real - 10 years and we just won’t know whats real and whats not. The age of video evidence as

I agree it’s not completely necessary for someone to stand behind it - an actual demonstration IS much more effective than tech specs - most people don’t actually know what they mean unless its their field (like non-car people buying cars). However, the customer WILL be sat behind it, and it shows confidence in your

I see your point, but I don’t think James May’s issue was with cars being tested on the ‘ring, I expect all cars are tested on one racetrack or another and their handling honed to some extent from that. The issue is when the whole point of the car becomes to be really good at driving round one place really fast. May

ROFL! I am from Norfolk, the Lind Trust is basically the means of which a very rich philanthropist gives his money. It’s called Lind because that was the name of his car dealer network (primarily BMW) that he sold for over £100m about 12 yrs ago. The guy is really into cars, a few years ago he did a car show which

My main concern (assuming that the car is incredibly safe even though you’re driving head first inches away from the steering wheel) is just keeping my head up to see out the front. You say visibility cound be amazing, but in the picture the driver would be staring at the steering wheel, which is just behind the front

In what way will this cost Bugatti money? Most Bugatti owners aren’t choosing between cars - they’re choosing which cars they like and buying them all! And as they are both limited run cars, which will both sell out (if they haven’t already) both companies will make a shed load of cash. This isn’t the 1990's where the

XJ220 - I also love the Countach just for shere insane looks, but everyone knows its a dog to drive (I hope to build a replica someday and hope its easier to drive!), but the Jag still looks amazing, is still fast (check out zonda vs xj220 drag race that Clarkson did a few yrs back) and is just the most beautiful car

Im not from america - but when the car was stolen, the insurance company would have paid out to the owners for a new one, so when it was recovered, the owners didnt need their old one back, so the insurance company has no use for it, so they sell it. From Tekamul’s post, it appears that the rules for that state

The UK has an MOT test - an annual check on all cars over 3yrs old, and its very good. It means that people who dont care about their cars have to atleast have them checked to say theyre safe. It only really includes safety items and emissions, but im sure you americans wont worry about that bit. Its just a visual

Just showed the engine pic to the wife and asked if it looked like anything - she got it instantly! Guess I spend too much time looking at engines and not enough time watching Disney!

I agree, buying the cars is not the issue, I like unusual cars (my daily driver is a Renault Avantime), I can think of dozens of old cars, some very rare, that could be bought for under £1k, but I have nowhere to put them, road tax in the UK would be £235 for the older ones, and more for some of the thirsty newer ones
