Am I the only that thinks this should have been a sequel. Then we could at least have the possibility of having Richard Dean Anderson make an appearance. Too many things are now being remade when they could easily just be a sequel. Like the new ghostbusters.

It happened to nerds/geeks as well. Look at technology where once gaming was really just arcade and computers for those that were savy. Look at comic books, the movie and TV shows. All the sudden the original comics are now playing second fiddle and have to follow the movies and shows some what.

The comics put Iron Man and Captain America on opposites sides of the issue almost arbitrarily, and in order to heighten the conflict, the characters suffered extreme character assassination.

I agree with you. Particularly if the money from the theater release was to pay off debt, I can see the courts siding with the film studio. Then again I wonder if Netflix is doing this to mostly hurt theaters indirectly, or another company that the film studio may owe money to.

Depending on the bankruptcy it does help a company secure ways to release a porduct as a way to not go completly under and never pay anyone back ever. So if part of the plan was for them to get money from the movies in order to pay debt then I see the courts agreeing with the film studio and against netflix.
