Huh, on both my 4 and 6 cyl cars they are aluminum. Maybe the 4-cyl got upgraded at some point before I had it?

My neighbours kid has attemped to "make" a Lightning out of his beat old F-150. He's cut about 3/4s of the way through his rear frame rails so the axles don't grind into them; still waiting for the back end of his truck to fall off.
My grandfather (who is now in his 80's) "doesn't believe in changing oil." He thinks it's a scam by the oil & lube companies, and has never changed the oil in any of his cars (although he will top them up when they're low). He had a poor S-10 pickup for about 15 years; I'll never understand how that engine made it…
Thanks for the info; I'll definitely be shopping around and see if the tranny issue is something I can get checked out before I buy one.
I've always felt it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow anyways :)
Haha, I'm sold!
Damn, that thing looks AMAZING from that angle.
Ugh I want one so bad. Do you have one? If so how's it been?
Really? That's quite the opposite of my experience, I've found them incredibly easy and straightforward to work on; nice big engine bay, easily removable front clip. The only parts of the cooling system made of plastic is the fins on the water pump and the end tanks on the radiator (which many other cars have as…
I've had the exact opposite experience; my BMW's have been incredibly reliable, and the 1 Panther I had (granted, it was my girlfriends and not mine) was an incredibly unreliable money pit.
Both my e36's were purchased for less than $1500 each; my 325 is now over 300k miles and still runs like a top, and my 318ti is at almost 200k and still runs strong. The only 'failure' I've ever had with the 325 was a coolant hose that started leaking (because I was lazy and didn't swap the hoses, even though I had…
about 2 years ago! got pretty lucky i think
got mine for $400 with only 68k...
I feel like the median price would be a better metric here
I may have to work a little harder for a bonus this year... ugggggh the want is strong with this one
check out hail mary mallon's bestiary too, really great stuff that i think alot of people missed out on
Hellllls ya, that's my jam right here
Was just about to post the same info, haha! Glad at least a few other Jalops are into Aesop :D going to see him on Sunday in Detroit!
Maybe it's just where I live in southwestern Ontario, but with the exception of the Peugot and the Pulsar I've seen every one of these in the last month or so. Though I will definitely agree that finding a clean CRX is now nigh-impossible
Obvious answer is obvious :
