All good points. I’ve owned four cars with the VQ and it is a good engine but I’ve been disappointed by the build quality of all 4 nissans/Infiniti. So disappointed that I’ve bought two Lexus since having the ISF. The ISF feels like it was forged from one block of steel... Zero rattles or buzzes. Which is amazing…

ISF. Period. It is Toyota reliable, faster, just as practical and about the same gas mileage... For less than $30k (for a 2008 model)

Lexus ISF. Rare, fast, special, practical, extremely capable AND reliable. There’s a unicorn. I sold mine after 2 years and have regretted every drive since. Easily the best of all worlds... As long as it doesn’t snow and you never need to go off road...

Adjusted for inflation, premium is actually $1.03/gallon cheaper now than it was then (in OKC). $1.31 in 1985 adjust to 2016 is $2.89... gas is absurdly cheap right now.

“Concern” that oil was going to recover? That might be the most ignorant thing I’ve ever read on this website. I know most of the country is loving their cheap gas, but you should come to OKC to get a firsthand look at the growing snowball of economic decline that will eventually roll over EVERYONE in this country…
