Not a lot in here about just not making good, interesting games in the first place. A lot of the indie titles are boring as they can be and clones of something else.

Because the star wars universe isnt really high tech. Its very industrial and the denizens are very low tech on many many worlds. I would argue the only thing the Star Wars Universe has going for it is propulsion systems, weapons, and a massive infrastructure made up of low wage jobs.
