You guys dropped the coverage ball hard on this one. Feels like someone remembered the night before the expansion came out that FFXIV was a thing. Did the person who was i charge of coverage not pick it up for a year before the launch or something? No one from the team had early access?

Combat DOES equal gameplay, but isn’t the end all be all of it. If I am playing a game like Dragon Age or Mass Effect where the world and environment are hostile and simulating wars and conflict, the game doesn’t exist without the combat. Where is the sense of danger and loss and tension that you get from skipping…

Also, if you want to just watch a game, go to youtube.com and watch a run.

This is why they have difficulty levels and different categories of games. Seriously though, I can only think of a handful of games in the past 10 years that would fall into an unbeatable type difficulty. If anything games should be more challenging, both in combat, puzzles, and story decisions.

So they take a chick character out and suddenly it is a hard sell? Really? It wasn’t like they removed her at late stages of development, they went back and took out stuff that was from an entirely earlier timeline of this game. The project was dead before the new director came along.

In every trailer I’ve seen, his role has been limited to heavy breathing and a panicked look. I hope he has a decent enough role in the actual film.

Sounds like you should take a look at skill speed. I’ve put a lot into it plus food raises it and it plays much faster if you’re focusing on that. Just have to watch out for tp Drain.

I do think a better tutorial on the defense and parrying is needed. It is a good system... but only AFTER you get frustrated with it. I think the sparring camp needs to have different types of practice modes and tutorial replay options.
