As a female producer, working with a female writer-director, trying to get funding for a film starring a 55 year old woman, I 100% agree with Kirsten’s comments.
If Hollywood truly wants to see more women make films, it needs to start financing them.

That would be just fine.

+1 slice of un-American cheese.

I know. I wish he wasn’t such a massive, repulsive, suppurating pustule on the face of humanity — and that I didn’t rightly loathe him with every fiber of my being.

I wouldn’t mind a well-done Epic of Gilgamesh adaptation.

A Baba Yaga movie done right could be terrifying.

I’d take a re-doing of Mists of Avalon, too.

I haven’t lived through a swath of history, but I’m listening to the excellent podcast The History of Rome, and I’ve found that it has given me some perspective.

Sounds eerily similar to my experience. She was the last one on her side of the family with whom I cut contact (it includes my sibling—can’t get the stomach to call him a brother). It was somewhat trivial, the election, but it was the last straw. Though I have cut contact with her previously, I suspect this one is the

He’s one of the worst. As a freelancer, every story I read about him stiffing a contractor would make my blood boil. He makes it permissible for others to do it.

Kick the Day... may be my favorite. Love them.

Yay, it’s SNS and I actually made it in time, for once! It’s been a hell of a few weeks, Jezzies. FIL had a heart attack, flatlined and then was in ICU for 11 days and it was touch and go for a while. Happily, he’s healing up fine and they were able to sort out a lot of his problems. He’ll have to go back for 2 more
