I think that’s apt. Affleck’s turn as Batman was a barrage of “Hey, I think Denise Richards is perfect to play this nuclear scientist!” scenarios.

Personally I don’t think there is a single ‘best Batman’.

Adam West is brilliant for pop art/camp Batman of the 60's. His Bruce Wayne is pretty good too.

On Batman alone, I’d go Pattinson. His Batman was an overwhelming presence for normal criminals that didn’t seem to actually have a problem until getting hit by a shotgun point blank in the chest. He did actual investigations, and was in a setting that was just dark enough thematically to be ‘fresh’ but not too dark.…

I have a wild solution, cast more POC actors in stuff. This is among the reason that it’s so stupid and tone deaf that people complain about changing race when adapting something to screen.
