Don’t forget that the Navy has its own jet fighter force and pilots who are not part of the US Air Force, and that the US Coast Guard, whose remit is to protect the US’ coasts, territorial water boarders, also has several personnel, vessels and equipment deployed abroad, far from US territorial waters and borders.

Technically Space Command is a division of the US Air Force......which is the BRANCH of the military.
