The downside is that after you’re done punching him you still have a Jeep Liberty.

I love this more than any single thing ever. I grew up on ‘70s Ford yachts (late 70s that is) and most of them began life with the dreaded “M” (351 or 400 Cleveland-derived, low compression, power starved “modified” lumps) but I loved them anyhow. Most of them got a 429 or 460 upgrade, but the heart of the cars never

But it’s not ugly.

YOU’RE one way to meet a daily posting quota, you filthy horse-loving bastard! Lemme at you! Get back in front of that screen! Hey! HEY! I’m talking to you! GET BACK HERE!

The entire body looks like a Ford....

I’m sure they’ll charge the Camry driver with attempted vehicular manslaughter.

Since the Camry driver was a minority, the police department will find him at fault.

You’re asking if the black guy or police officer is liable? Is this some kind of trick question?

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not.

Have to love it....they stole the design cues from Ford and the name from GM.

They’re mostly self-righteous and don’t understand basic mathematic principles, and there are some who probably are afraid of merging near to the end of a lane where it turns into a rage fest over “fairness.” Americans have been taught we’re all equal and to strive for equality, and we are truly more concerned with

Now playing

That’s why the zipper actually works so well: everyone is driving on the two lanes for some time before the merge point, so you have time to position yourself between the two cars on the other lane instead of driving alongside one car. That way you are ‘pre-positioned’ and all you have to do at the merge point is the

Can’t you see the silly vicious circle in this? The reason you don’t zipper merge is because you’re afraid somewhere down the road someone won’t zipper merge. It’s ridiculous. The more people adopt this method, the more effective it becomes. Be an early adopter and help educate.

no. use the lane until the merge. Efficiency.

And what if people are getting defensive about their lane 2 miles back? Or 3? Look at all that wasted asphault!

Sorry, I disagree. While the downside of the zipper merge is the existence of that asshole, the alternative is stupid - wasting 100's of feet of open lane space just to make a point.

The people lining up early are the problem. Know why? Because they’re DOUBLING the length of the traffic jam. If everybody would just fill both lanes until the merge point, that exit 4 miles back from the bottleneck would be totally unaffected. But the idiots that think they’re somehow being nice or respectable by

exactly.

Bottom line is drivers education is a broken system. The zipper merge would allow traffic to move better if everyone was taught when and how to use it.
