Nylon and polyester melt; Kevlar, Dyneema and Covec not so much. Kevlar is supposed to be good for 500ºC but loses tensile strength well before that. Couldn’t find out what temperature Covec can withstand but it’ll tolerate a soldering iron pretty well-
