I would always recommend that a new player NOT take the shortcut, but NG+ and beyond? Skip that shit ALL DAY.

That’s why you take the Master Key at the beginning and skip the majority of Blighttown :D

I disagree. Demons’ Souls is masterpiece and I love it, but everything about Dark Souls is better. It’s more balanced, more fair, has a better world, and better bosses.

I use “a-MEI-zing!” all the time, but that’s mostly because Mei is bae.

It sucks that they had to shut it down, but good on Blizzard for actually communicating with the team and treating them with respect.

I don’t mind the one random mic dude who starts giving orders. All the ones I’ve run into so far have been friendly and phrased their stuff as suggestions more than commands.

I’ve only had it twice where someone commented on having multiple copies of the same hero on a team.

Yes, the people whose reviews show up on Metacrtic and Rotten Tomatoes are, by definition, “professional critics.”

In my brief time playing last night (about 10 games or so) I got three plays of the game and all three were with Bastion. Meanwhile I’ve had other games where I parked my sweet ass on a choke point and gotten destroyed by a couple of players just working together. He’s not unbeatable, but if you’ve got a group of

I really wanted to contribute, but I just couldn’t justify spending $115 on something that I won’t see for at least.

It is. He actually used to have a column called Contrarian Corner where he would shit on universally beloved games and a praise universally reviled games. He is actually a troll posing as a critic.

This joke was overplayed two weeks after Destiny came out.

I adored Human Revolution. Miles better than Invisible War and competes with the original in a lot of areas.

The game I was most looking forward to this year was Dark Souls 3. Deus Ex was a moderately distant second.

You have clearly never played a Souls game if you think the hitboxes are shitty. These hitboxes are stupidly precise.

I loved Demon’s Souls, but I played it after Dark. I’m probably biased, and I’d argue that your first Souls game (Bloodborne included) will probably be your favorite, but I think Dark Souls 1 is objectively the best game in the series. It was more polished, more balanced, and had the best designed world I have ever

How is the PS4 controller not good? I’ll ignore your other points because most of them are ridiculous, but I take issue with you saying the controller isn’t good.

...why?

Same. I could parry all day in Bloodborne but I’ve never quite gotten the hang of it in Souls across 700 hours combined playtime.

If I had to chose between those two, I’d go with The Division. But yep, you’re right. I’m on Dark Souls 3 for at least two weeks.
