Okay but can we also talk about him getting a mandatory sentence of 19 years for stealing a cell phone? Like in what world is that a proportional punishment?

I’m curious, if the reporting is to be believed, why Corinne is the one who’s “consent” was violated - she seemed to be driving the entire ship. Shouldn’t it be Demario’s consent we’re worried about?

Corinne spoke to TMZ and said she did not consent, but her version of events is very, very consistent with DeMarios. The only difference is in DeMario’s version he says he was too drunk to consent, and in Corinne’s she says she was.

right, because it’s not like she has a history of drunkenly throwing herself at men while obliterated........

Yeah—I’m confused. It says they were both drunk, but the producer was concerned that *she* was too drunk to consent. I’ve always wondered how others regard situations like this, because I personally don’t believe it’s right to throw the man under the bus if he was just as incognizant as she was.

I hate that all of this seems to only focus on her as if she is the only victim here.

This. It’s also the one aspect of consent I’ve always struggled with: when both people are shit faced, who is responsible? Neither person was in control of their behavior. DeMario’s narrative is that she sat on his face, not that he forced himself on her.

So DeMario says he was too drunk to consent, and Corinne says she was too drunk to consent.

I’m getting the impression both were too drunk to know what they were doing, so producers not stepping in and breaking them up right then and there could be an issue for both contestants.

Nicki keeps taking jabs at Remy after Remy has knocked her ass on the canvas. All of Nicki’s clapbacks have been whack. Give it up sis!  Also, a lot of those Top 100 hits were songs Nicki was featured on, sometimes with multiple other rappers, not her own songs. There’s a big difference between writing a guest verse

there’s been nothing that Nicki can say to lessen the impact or pretend she’s not still bleeding from the wound.

Continuing to devote creative energy to this thing that has been long over, in terms of public conception, suggests that Nicki is still thinking about Remy’s mean words... which, why?

I legit adore the first and second movies (third one never happened as far as I’m concerned). Especially because if you look at them, Evie is the true protagonist since they Stealth Protagonist her up in there.

Brenden Frazier’s delivery of the line, “Hey Benny, looks like someone’s on the wrong side of the RIV-ER!” was Oscar worthy, and still one of my favorite lines to yell out with little to no context or provocation.

Poor Brendan Fraser. The 90s era movie was so great.

“It’s just art” is the same as saying “it’s just a joke” when people call you out on your BS and you don’t want to actually consider you may just have some ingrained racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia/etc.

I hate when white people kindly explain to POC how there is no racism in their (the white people’s) neighborhood.

Dollars to donuts these very dipshits would be saying the same thing to black people if they took offense to a sculpture of Emmit Till getting beat to death.

And what’s more frustrating, language like we’re using is seen by these people as alienating. We’re alienating our white allies

“And more so if you are a white person. Seriously, people are willing to die on the hill called “White People Should Be Able to Tell Indigenous People’s (POCs) Stories No Matter What.”
