A BOF might allow BMW to attach a bigger, uglier grill, which is exactly what their target demographic wants apparently.
Nissan is like the online dating profile that says, “I used to be a 7, now I’m a 4, but I still act like I’m a 9.”
What a fucking waste of a Civic.
Honda and GM aren’t moving forward on EVs anymore; Honda walked away from that partnership. The Prologue and ZDX are the end of that road; unless Honda wants to reverse course. Sony is Hondas current partner for EVs; but I doubt the volumes are going to be very large.
Honda would benefit from this merger, otherwise they wouldn’t even have considered it; but they (rightfully) want to call the shots and not let the management team at Nissan become a boat anchor around their necks.
LOL @ Nissan thinking they should have a say when they’re literally having their asses saved by Honda.
Same, though more due to the fact that my mom had the Allante’, so I thought of the Reatta as the shabby stepsister back then. I do appreciate that the first two years of these were actual hardtop cars (unlike the Allante’ with the removable hardtop), so they were more solid if that’s what one wanted, but if you…
NP assuming it passes a good inspection — the seller’s shop would make me cautious as to whether this thing was repaired and cobbled together – but assuming it’s unmolested, heck yea. It’s a pretty car, it doesn’t have that sure-to-be-problematic touchscreen, and most parts should be available for many years to come.
Oh stick a blower on from a GTP grand prix and some other GTP aftermarket goodies and this would be fun.
1990 was an updated year. New interior, instrument panel, air bag, etc... Very good year.
Looks good and seems priced right.
I got a pair of 90s beaters dumped on me, started driving them out of necessity, then realized, damn, these things are cheap to keep going, no payment, and they both have the coveted “ball chiller” vent. So... I quit trying to find a new/newer car I could afford.
Most SUV’s are built on a car platform, save for the few remaining with an actual frame. Suspension is basically the same.
The CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, Twitter, and Neuralink now has significant influence over the very government entities that regulate or contract with his businesses. Has a bigger conflict of interest ever existed?
I'm fine with both of those things. Hard plastics are reliable and take lots abuse compared to fancy interior trims. And thin body panels sound like a move back to lighter cars, also a good thing.
Just a reminder that mean average new car price isn't really indicative of the market for most people because it is being skewed upwards greatly by high-end cars that most consumers don’t buy.
There’s plenty of “cheap” trims available from every manufacturer already. The problem is the dealers. Go to any lot anywhere, and there will be 70+ “Limited” or “Platinum” versions of a thing there, with zero base models. Until we get rid of commission based, markup heavy dealers and move to manufacturer direct-to-con…
