Fine. I intended to refer to parent company.

They were not “forced to sell re-badged crap.” They chose that direction.

1) I don’t care either way.
2) I don’t expect any automaker cost savings to accrue to the consumer.
3) This somewhat shows how Congress, especially the Senate, skews the federal interest towards rural areas. They hate big bad federal government unless they have control of it and can use it to get what they want.

My first “real job” began in the early 90's and required a little travel now & then. I can’t count how many times this exact car greeted me on the Avis rental lot. It’s, a car. J-car roots, so it could outlive us all.

I'm tired of that old guy.

Thank you. I’ve been saying this for at least a decade. It was a brand with decent customer perceptions and a dull but good product. Most normie non-car people didn’t know it was associated with GM, which was a plus. Meanwhile, Billy Joe Jim Bob at County Seat Motors doesn’t care or know anything about EV’s, or even

The hatchback pricing and online “builder” was finally released. One minor complaint, the “blue lagoon pearl” available on the sedan is not a choice for the hatchback, a real bummer to me :-(. Smurf blue is still an option, plus red, “sand dune pearl,” and the usual non-colors. Still a great package, and even the

I like that Buick, a lot actually. But the engine, I just can't.

Not the jalop choice, but hybrid hatchback Sport Touring is probably the car for me.

I’m in Denmark at the moment. I live in the US but the Octavia Combi or Scala would be perfect. Not a wagon, but another unobtanium car I like is the Peugeot 208.

That means he grew up in a double-wide not a single.

I drove one for about 90 minutes last month. Still has terrible ergonomics, the visibility is bad without electronic aids, and it feels confined. Like past Priuses, seems built for people about 5'7" or less, and I’ve still never seen a Toyota interior that felt remotely aspirational. Tried hard to like it, but no.

I hear you. Calculated monthly, my insurance expense is more than gas.

I might pay that much for a low miles manual GTA trim in excellent shape, but not for this. If you really want a fwd 80s droptop with an auto for cruising just get a Mopar.

My State Farm rates went up 50% since a year ago. 14 yo car, 54 yo driver with no claim history, 800+ credit and no tickets. I switched to a better rate with "Flo" but I fully expect they'll jack my rates up at the next bill in 6 months.

I live in the area. Really dumb move. Every pilot in and out of DCA knows this, which sometimes makes avoiding that airspace kind of a thrill-ride for passengers.

Cars run better when they are clean.

You can get old-school foaming carpet and upholstery cleaner at Walmart for like $2.49. All you do is spray it, scrub with a wet brush, let dry, then vacuum. Works great. 400k+ miles is impressive but jeez.

Just get a Crosstrek and be done.

Is this fish called succubus?
