I think it’s possible to be critical of how fucked up police culture is AND place personal responsibility on an individual cop for the murder. There’s plenty of blame to go around.

As far as I know* best practice currently is to use hormone *blocking* drugs in kids to delay the permanent effects of puberty. That way when they are older they can choose what medical interventions they do or don’t want.

All sedatives certainly do not have equal risks of respiratory depression. Ketamine is a bronchodilator and the anesthetic of choice for asthmatics. Of course any EMT that doesn’t know this sure as hell shouldn’t be administering it.
